Indiana congressman Steve Buyer, a Republican under fire for a charitable scholarship foundation he founded, said today that he will not seek re-election in November.Buyer told a news conference in Indianapolis that his wife, Joni, is suffering from an autoimmune disease that doctors say is incurable. "She has been advised to 'de-stress' her life," Buyer said. "Therefore, I believe it is (in) my family's best interest for me to complete my service to the nation."Buyer, 51, did not mention in his statement the spotlight he's been under because of the Frontier Foundation.
