Harry Knox of the Human Rights Campaign announced today the formation of the American Prayer Hour in response to the National Prayer Breakfast which has been held annually by the group known colloquially as The Family, though their real name is the Fellowship Foundation. The LGBT Community has been pushing strongly for condemnation of, and even retraction of, the Ugandan bill which would criminalize homosexuality to such an extent that the penalty for being both gay and having HIV/AIDS would be death, and life imprisonment for just being homosexual. People who know of homosexuality in friends and relatives would be forced to turn in those people or face up to three years in jail.
