Jamie stalked real soloist (15)
JAMIE Foxx has revealed he stalked schizophrenic musician Nathaniel Ayers in preparation for his role in The Soloist. "I snuck downtown and watched him from a distance," Foxx says. "He didn't even know I was there. I watched him for a couple of hours and I filmed him with a camera while he was talking to other people." The movie is based on the true story of Ayers (played by Foxx), a gifted cellist who had a mental breakdown in his third year of studies at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York. The breakdown dashed Ayers' hopes of a music career, and left him homeless in Los Angeles. He started busking, using broken ins...

For his part, Vetri has parlayed the sterling reputation of his eponymous townhouse dining room west of Broad to add Osteria, a polished pizza parlor on North Broad Street, and is finishing work on a new trattoria, Amis, set to debut at 13th and Waverly next month. Comfort food Just when you thought you couldn't handle another multimillion-dollar theme park of a restaurant (or a check edging toward $300 for two), comfort food made a break for the big time. Even Silk City Diner has foie-gras scrapple on the brunch menu. Gussied-up meatballs are on a roll. And no more having to hunt for fish and chips, house-made hot dogs, fried chicken (with PBR), pot pies, and mac and chees...
New laws 2010, the Ohio edition (12)
Ohioans should take note of a few changes to state laws that became active once 2009 became 2010, some may hit the wallet a bit harder this year while others may actually be beneficial. If you are driving through the Buckeye state you might consider turning on your lights when your windshield wipers are engaged. Law enforcement can now issue a fine of $100 if drivers fail to follow this new law. Motorists cannot be pulled over for this infraction alone since the new law is considered a secondary offense. A driver must be viewed breaking a primary offense such as speeding or reckless operation prior to being ticketed for failing to have the vehicles headlights on...

Snookie says that he makes her laugh but it didn't go anywhere. "Once again a waste of my time." The mallard rings, and it's JWoww's boyfriend Tommy, who hung up on her last week when she tried to tell him she had hooked up with Pauly D. She had apologized to him earlier, and now he tells her he heard that she was dancing with Pauly D all night. Turns out that Russ/Ron is a friend of Tommy's and was told to keep an eye on JWoww. He tells her that if she's flirting with anyone, he's done, and hangs up on her again. She calls him back and says she's tired of him threatening to leave her. Snooki -- Snooki! -- talks some sense into him. Snooki's redemptive arc continues w...

Will the Phoenix Coyotes Be Haunted by the Ghost of the Second Half Again? (11)
The first half of the season has already past leaving several Phoenix Coyotes opponents shutout thanks to Ilya Bryzgalov. The Coyotes 16-5-1 home record is second in the Western Conference next to the Chicago Blackhawks 18-4-1 home record.
