Foxes force closure of MSP airport runway
Two foxes forced the closure of a runway at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Wednesday morning, briefly delaying two arriving flights. One fox was "eradicated" while the other "left the field of its own accord," said Patrick Hogan, an airport spokesman. The incident took place near Crosstown Highway 62 and the 28th Avenue exit, closing the north parallel runway for about five minutes. "We seldom have to close runways due to wildlife," Hogan said.
