Junior platform tennis championships hit New Canaan
With temperatures hovering between 15 and 20 degrees, participants in the American Platform Tennis Association Junior National Championships came well prepared, wearing winter hats, layers of fleece and gloves. Peter Swindell, 12, said he didn't mind. The below-freezing weather gave Peter and his partner even more reason to keep up the pace. "I like being in the cold," Peter, a New Canaan resident, said. "It's fun. I feel good, we've been trying to get the net whenever we could."
