League of Women Voters to focus on women's role, history in America In celebration of civil rights advocate Rosa Parks' birthday and in commemoration of the 90th anniversary of Title 19 of the U.S. Constitution in which women obtained the right to vote, the Norwalk League of Women Voters will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. today at the Fairfield County Women's Center at Norwalk Community College, 188 Richards Ave. The news conference will announce a league initiative with the FCWC to form a Coalition Committee to explore the creation of a series of special events throughout the year that will focus on women's history and role in society, politics, religion, the family and business.
